High Performance Assurance and Forensics

Sufficient system performance capacity is a necessary component of network assurance and/or forensics system that is aimed at succeeding in its mission-critical functionality. The steadily increased wired, optical and wireless network speeds and emerging network-centric applications cause great technical challenges to meet the performance requirements of high-speed network assurance and/or forensics systems.

SPARTA ISSO creates both high-performance assurance and high-performance forensic technologies and solutions for network security and availability, as well as network protection, forensic analysis, and situation assessment.

Our high-performance assurance research looks at system architecture design and implementation trade-offs, as well as packet classification, content inspection, and semantic processing architectures.

We also examine techniques for improving the speed and accuracy of Anti-Virus, Anti-Worm, Anti-Spam, IDS/IPS, and network capacity planning and management, including the application of network processors, high-bandwidth wireless networks, and storage area networks.

In the area of high-performance forensics, SPARTA ISSO examines data mining, data collection, reduction, and normalization, as well as machine visualization techniques, learning algorithms and applications.

SPARTA ISSO investigates techniques to improve the speed, accuracy, and understanding of data aggregation, information processing, decision making, and presentation, and also looks into domain-specific application analysis and information gathering.
