SPARTA ISSO is committed to the advancement of computer and communications security for information systems worldwide. Given today's extensively networked global communications systems and the phenomenal growth of the Internet, the network security research group is especially committed to ensuring the accuracy, authenticity, availability, and privacy of information communicated via the Internet. SPARTA Research has a long history of Internet activities, having been instrumental in Internet security initiatives and improvements since the Internet first began to see significant public use in the mid-1980s. SPARTA ISSO actively participates in the leadership of security initiatives carried out by the Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF). Currently, the network security group is producing software reference implementations for the Domain Name System Security Extensions (DNSSEC) and the Simple Network Management Protocol, Version 3 (SNMPv3).
